Dirt Bike Rentals Near Salt Lake City
While Wasatch trails sit under snow, Hurricane's 150+ miles stay rideable — a Husqvarna enduro waiting 4.5 hours south, or a short flight into SGU.
Salt Lake City riders lose their season every November, and that's the entire reason so many make the trip to Hurricane. The drive is 4.5 hours south on I-15 through Provo, Nephi, and Cedar City, or you can skip the highway entirely and fly into St. George Regional Airport, 20 minutes from our door. Hurricane's lower elevation keeps trails open 300-plus days a year, long after Wasatch Front riding shuts down under snow. Every booking comes with a Husqvarna FE350 or FE450 fueled and ready, protective gear sized to you, a trail map, and tools tucked under the seat — everything needed to ride the same afternoon you arrive. What you're trading the drive for is 150+ miles of red-rock single-track that simply doesn't exist at altitude, on a schedule that outlasts the Wasatch season by months.
Salt Lake City riders: escape the Wasatch snow and cold for year-round dirt bike riding in Southern Utah. While the trails around SLC shut down from November through April, Hurricane offers rideable conditions 300+ days a year. The 4.5-hour drive on I-15 is worth every minute when you're riding red rock terrain in January while your friends are stuck indoors. Or fly into St. George Regional Airport (SGU) — just 20 minutes from our shop.
Getting Here from Salt Lake City
I-15 South through Provo, Nephi, and Cedar City — or fly into St. George Regional Airport (SGU). Just 4.5 hours door to door.
Make it a long weekend: drive down Friday evening, ride Saturday and Sunday, head home Sunday night. Multi-day dirt bike rental rates save you 10%.
Nearby riding: Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon are both within an hour for non-riding days.
For riders making the trip down from Salt Lake, Warner Valley is the easiest place to start — open desert wash and a gentle warm-up loop that helps you find your legs after a long drive or a short flight. From there, the Hurricane Cliffs bring rockier, more technical climbs, and Gould's Rim holds the longer, harder terrain that riders used to mountain trails up north tend to gravitate toward. Worth knowing before you make the trip: Sand Hollow State Park is nearby and well known statewide, but it's built for OHVs and UTVs with whip flags, and our street-plated enduros aren't allowed inside it. Hurricane's 150+ miles of single-track are the payoff — real dirt bike terrain, rideable in January while the Wasatch Front sits buried under feet of snow.
Dirt Bikes vs. ATVs & UTVs
A handful of Salt Lake riders inquire about four-wheelers for their Southern Utah trip, but that's not our lineup — we run Husqvarna enduros exclusively. A dirt bike covers technical single-track that a UTV physically can't navigate, which is most of what surrounds Hurricane. If dune riding at Sand Hollow is the actual goal, a local OHV outfitter near the park stocks the flagged ATVs and UTVs that kind of trip calls for.
Wasatch Front trails close under snow from November through April. Hurricane's lower elevation keeps 150+ miles open 300-plus days a year.
4.5 hours on I-15 or a short hop into St. George Regional Airport turns into a full weekend of riding, with multi-day rates cutting 10–15% off the price.
Red-rock slickrock and desert wash across Warner Valley and the Hurricane Cliffs — nothing like the high-country single-track Salt Lake riders know at home.
Perfect warm-up trail before tackling Edge of the World. Great for getting comfortable with the terrain and loosening up before more challenging rides.
Fun singletrack with varied terrain. A great intermediate ride with enough challenge to keep things interesting without being overwhelming.
Scenic singletrack along the eastern rim. Beautiful views and moderate technical sections make this a favorite for intermediate riders.
Drive 4.5 hours south on I-15 through Provo, Nephi, and Cedar City, or fly into St. George Regional Airport, just 20 minutes from our shop. Either route gets you on a Husqvarna the same day.
Hurricane is the answer for a lot of Wasatch Front riders. Our lower elevation keeps 150+ miles of trail open 300-plus days a year, well past the November-to-April closures up north.
Plenty of riders make it a standing plan — down Friday evening, ride Saturday and Sunday, home Sunday night. Multi-day rental rates save 10–15%, which covers a good chunk of the drive.
Not through us — we're a Husqvarna dirt bike fleet exclusively. For dune riding at Sand Hollow, a local OHV outfitter nearby can set your group up with the right flagged machines.
Every booking comes fueled up with protective riding gear, a trail map, and tools for the trail. Full-day rates land at $259 to $269, and riders need to be at least 21, carry a valid license, and complete Utah's OHV safety course ahead of time.
