From Cedar City, the drive south puts most riders on the trail within 90 minutes of leaving. Warner Valley is the usual starting point — open wash riding and a beginner warm-up loop that feels worlds apart from Cedar City's mountain trails. Step it up and the Hurricane Cliffs bring rockier, steeper climbs with long views over the Virgin River, while Gould's Rim and Toquerville hold the bigger, more technical terrain for riders ready to spend a full day out there. One note worth knowing: Sand Hollow State Park is nearby and gets plenty of attention for its dunes, but it's an OHV park built for whip-flagged machines, and our enduros can't legally enter it. Low elevation and 150+ miles of it — that's the trade-off Hurricane offers riders escaping Cedar Mountain's snow.
